Holy Trinity: Milkshakes, Moses & much more…

A little glimpse of life at Holy Trinity this week — sharing food and friendship in our small groups, praying together around the piano before worship, the very tasty evidence that Milkshake Club is back, and Julia out on placement as part of her ordination training — looks like she's having fun! 🥤😊

It's been another busy week at Holy Trinity — but a very good one!

Alpha got off to a fantastic start on Tuesday, with a great turnout, delicious food and lots of good conversation. It's not too late to join us, so do speak to Mark or Charles if you're interested. A huge thank you to everyone who has invited friends, prayed, cooked, babysat, welcomed, washed up and helped lead. It really is a team effort!

It's been lovely to get Milkshake Club going again too, and our young people are already looking forward to a youth worship evening at HT and our next weekend away.

We've now reached 104 people on the Electoral Roll, and our small groups are back in full swing. New prayer booklets will be coming out soon too, helping us to keep prayer at the heart of our life together.

There's lots happening behind the scenes as well — our administrator advert is now live and attracting plenty of interest, we've had a visit from the architects as we continue to work on our building plans, and Julia has begun her training for ordination at Ripon College, Cuddesdon. This weekend the PCC will be spending a day together thinking and praying about the next season for Holy Trinity.

And finally, a huge thank you for the £650 in generous donations and 62kg of food for the Foodbank collected at Harvest. What a great practical expression of care for our community.

One of the things I love about Holy Trinity is that we really are a church family. There's no special club to join and no particular type of person you need to be — everyone is welcome, and everyone has something to contribute. Whether you're new, have been here for years, are full of energy or simply have a little time to give, there are lots of ways to be part of what we're doing together. Church is at its best when we're not just coming along, but sharing in it together.

And that's before the usual round of prayer meetings, pastoral visits, home communion, planning, Red Lid and everything else! Phew.

Thank you, as always, for all you do — and especially for praying. There is lots to be thankful for, and lots to pray into. Esther x
